about me
About Me
I have a deep understanding of the principles and application of use of force. As a Lead Trainer in specialist operations, I instructed officers at all levels in personal safety, self-defence, and legal frameworks, including the National Decision-Making Model (NDM).
My work extended beyond training, guiding high-risk detention and extradition teams, overseeing terrorist and criminal movements, and mentoring new police trainers. I played a key role in developing training programs now used nationally, ensuring officers and staff maintain competence, confidence, and tactical effectiveness.
Additionally, my expertise in Trauma Risk Intervention Management (TRIM) ensures support for individuals affected by critical incidents—an area I continue to focus on beyond retirement.

Training Experience
My extensive qualifications reflect a deep commitment to safety, training, and leadership. As a Subject Matter Use of Force Expert Witness (Cardiff University – Bond Solon) and BA (Hons) Criminology graduate (Lancaster University), I have built a strong foundation in risk management and law enforcement training. I’ve served as a Lead Trainer in specialist operations, instructing officers in personal safety, government legislation, and the National Decision-Making Model (NDM).
My certifications in HRDET leadership, IOSH safety management, trauma intervention (TRIM), and vocational assessment reinforce my ability to design effective, high-stakes training programs. Beyond policing, I continue to provide Trauma Risk Intervention Management Practitioner services, ensuring critical support for individuals affected by traumatic incidents. My expertise is practical, precise, and shaped by real-world experience.
